Drafted by the Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism under the A & N Administration, this policy aims to promote responsible tourism and sustainable development while preserving the natural beauty of these pristine shores.

As these Indian islands continue to grow in popularity among travelers and tourists seeking both natural beauty and cultural experiences, the need to strike a harmonious balance between tourism development and environmental preservation becomes increasingly crucial.

The draft Beach Shacks Policy provides comprehensive guidelines for the establishment, operation, and management of beach shacks along the region’s picturesque coastline. The draft policy is accessible to the public through the official website of the Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism at https://www.andamantourism.gov.in.
