Andaman and Nicobar Islands has achieved 70.27% second dose COVID-19 Vaccination of its eligible population. Altogether 2, 94,348 people in the Islands have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccination which is 102.92% of the approximate targeted beneficiaries of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Out of the 2,94,348 people who have received their first dose of COVID-19 Vaccination, 2,06,841 have also received their second dose of the vaccine.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands is moving fast towards 100% double-dose vaccination of its entire eligible population.
At present, there are 10 active cases of COVID-19 in the Islands. Altogether, 7659 COVID-19 cases have been detected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands from March 2020.
7520 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Islands until today and 129 souls have also lost their lives.
All 10 cases of COVID-19 are currently located in South Andaman District and the other two districts of A & N Islands are currently COVID-19 free.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands is also well prepared to tackle any future COVID-19 cases. There are 286 Isolation beds in the North and Middle Andaman District, 5583 isolation beds in South Andaman District and 507 isolation beds in the Nicobar District.
