A & N Islands Parliamentary Constituency to Go On Poll on 19th April 2024 to Elect Member of Parliament to Lok Sabha

The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for the General Elections to the Lok Sabha today, marking a significant milestone in the democratic process of the nation. Scheduled to be conducted in seven phases, the General Elections of 2024 will witness the participation of crores of voters across the country.

According to the announced schedule, Andaman and Nicobar Islands will embark on its electoral journey in the first phase of voting. The designated polling date for Andaman and Nicobar Islands is 19th of April 2024, falling on a Friday. The commencement of this electoral saga will be heralded by the issuance of the Gazette Notification on the 20th of March 2024.

As per the electoral calendar, aspiring candidates must file their nominations by the 27th of March 2024, followed by the scrutiny of nominations on the 28th of March 2024. The final date for the withdrawal of candidature has been slated for the 30th of March 2024.

The culmination of this electoral exercise will see the announcement of results for all phases on the 4th of June 2024, unveiling the representatives chosen by the electorate to serve in the hallowed halls of the Lok Sabha.

With the declaration of the election schedule, the Model Code of Conduct has been enforced forthwith, ensuring the fair and ethical conduct of political activities leading up to the elections.

The entire election process shall be completed by 06th of June 2024.
