A & N Police Holds Cyber Awareness Session to Equip Personnel on Various Portals Used by Department

In a proactive move towards bolstering cyber awareness within its ranks, the Andaman & Nicobar Police orchestrated a comprehensive Cyber Awareness Session on November 30, 2023. The session, titled “Various Portals being used by the A&N Police,” was conducted in a hybrid mode, marking the latest instalment of the ‘Cyber Guruvar’ initiative, a recurring Thursday event orchestrated by the Cyber Cell of the A&N Police.

This informative session congregated A & N Police officers, aiming to fortify their understanding and expertise concerning the manifold portals employed by the A&N Police. Among the featured portals discussed were crucial platforms like the Integrated Monitoring of Terrorism, Track Child Portal, Fake Indian Currency Notes tracking system, Wildlife Crime Control Bureau, Management Information System, and the Seizure Information Management System. This marked the fifth session within this enlightening series aimed at empowering the police personnel with vital cyber-related insights and tools.

The public has been earnestly advised to prioritise their online safety by engaging with the Andaman and Nicobar Police across various social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Koo. Regular advisories on safe online behaviour and essential cyber safety tips are disseminated through these channels. Emphasis has been placed on the verification of information before sharing, urging individuals to obtain insights solely from authentic and verified sources.
