Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India organised a workshop on the development of sustainable and responsible tourist destinations on 11th January at Hotel Taj in Kolkata.
A delegation from Andaman and Nicobar Islands comprising Tourism Stakeholders and IP&T Officials participated in the workshop. Mr. M Vinod and Mr. Saikat Biswas from the Andaman Association of Tour operators attended the workshop. Ms. Kanak Radha Chatterjee & Mr. Anil from IP&T also participated in the workshop.
The workshop was a huge success and it succeeded in disseminating detailed knowledge of Sustainable Tourism among the attendees. Industry Leaders and Senior Officials of the Ministry guided the attendees on Sustainable and Responsible Tourism during the workshop.
Ms. Kanak Radha Chatterjee and Mr. Vinod also presented a detailed presentation on sustainable measures adopted by the Tourism Stakeholders of Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the event.
