In a proactive move to fortify the tourism sector of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) convened a significant meeting with Mr. Keshav Chandra, IAS, the Chief Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Administration. The delegation, spearheaded by President M. Vinod along with members Mr. Navedh, Mr. Krishna Saha, and Mr. Amar, convened at the Chief Secretary’s office today to deliberate on pivotal strategies.
The discussions held during the meeting encompassed a comprehensive range of topics aimed at augmenting the region’s international air connectivity, heightening the Administration’s active involvement in forthcoming travel expos such as OTM and SATTE, and formulating initiatives to enhance essential amenities for tourists at Shaheed and Swaraj Dweep. These collaborative efforts have a shared goal of positioning the Andaman Islands as a foremost international travel destination by fostering alliances, ameliorating infrastructure, and fostering a unified approach among the diverse stakeholders within the tourism sector.
Mr. Vinod conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Secretary for sparing time from his demanding schedule to engage with the AATO delegation, signifying the significance accorded by the Administration to collaborative endeavours aimed at bolstering the region’s tourism landscape.
The discussions held between the AATO delegation and the Chief Secretary reflect a concerted effort to synergize ideas and resources for the collective advancement of tourism in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
