Andaman Association of Tour Operators has expressed sincere gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi; Mr. G.Kishen Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister for Tourism, Art and Culture, Govt of India; Chief Secretary A & N Administration; BJP, National Secretary, Mr. Y Satya Kumar and all tourism stakeholders for all their efforts and support in resuming tourism in Andaman Islands.
AATO President Mr. M.Vinod in a sigh of relief said, “Tourism is the backbone of our islands and in the last two years, the industry has suffered a huge setback due to COVID-19.” He added, “Now that COVID situation is under control, it is the right time to resume tourism operations.”
Earlier, AATO delegation had met Chief Secretary, Mr. Jitendra Narain and requested him to open tourist spots. Administration agreed on opening of tourists spots, gradually. Now that all tourism activities have been permitted, Mr. M.Vinod has expressed sincere gratitude to Chief Secretary, Mr. Jitendra Narain for all his efforts.
A joint delegation of tourism stakeholders had also met Mr. Y.Satya Kumar, National Secretary, BJP and Prabhari of A&N Islands on Sunday.
Mr. M. Vinod reiterated that the safety of Islanders and tourists is of utmost importance and advised all tourism stakeholders to strictly follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour as tourism resumes in the Islands.
