Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) expressed its gratitude to the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Private Cruise Operators, and Airline Companies, especially Indigo & Spicejet for their unwavering support and assistance during the recent cyclonic weather conditions caused by Cyclone Mocha.
As a result of the cyclone, ferries were disrupted and many tourists were stranded in Swaraj Dweep & Shaheed Dweep. Cruise operators played a crucial role, ensuring the safe evacuation of tourists and providing logistical support during the challenging time. Indigo and Spicejet Airlines were kind enough to reschedule the tickets of the tourists.
“As members of the tourism industry, we understand the importance of collaboration and support during times of crisis,” said Mr. M Vinod. Mr. Vinod added ‘We are incredibly grateful to the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, cruise operators, and airlines for their assistance during the recent cyclonic weather conditions. Their quick thinking and actions ensured that tourists and locals alike remained safe and well taken care of.’
AATO recognizes the crucial role that these organizations played during the recent cyclonic weather conditions and thanks them for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all those impacted by Cyclone Mocha.
