AATO Felicitates Women Entrepreneurs on International Women’s Day

The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) celebrated International Women’s Day on Saturday by felicitating women entrepreneurs associated with the organization in recognition of their contribution to the tourism industry of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The programme was held at Hotel Star Paradise in Marine Hill, Port Blair, where women members of AATO were honoured for their dedication and achievements in the tourism sector.

Women representatives from cruise operators in the islands participated in the felicitation ceremony. The honours were presented by Ms. Bindu from Makruzz, Ms. Prajukta from Nautika and Ms. Bharati from Green Ocean, who appreciated the efforts of women entrepreneurs in strengthening the tourism industry and inspiring future generations.

Speaking on the occasion, AATO President Mr. Mohan Vinod welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of women’s participation in the tourism sector. He commended the commitment and efforts of women members, noting that their contributions are playing a significant role in the growth of tourism in the islands.

The event concluded with participants acknowledging the increasing role of women entrepreneurs in the tourism fraternity and reaffirming AATO’s commitment to encouraging and supporting women in the industry.
