Mr. M. Vinod, President of the Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) and an active member of the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI), attended the General House Meeting of ADTOI held at Hotel Metropolitan & Spa, New Delhi.
The meeting marked the first General House gathering since the new committee of ADTOI took charge. Members from across the country participated in the discussions, which focused on key developments in domestic tourism.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the announcement made by Mr. Ved Khanna, the newly appointed National President of ADTOI, regarding the establishment of a separate ADTOI Chapter for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This decision comes after discussions by the previous committee about the need for a dedicated chapter to address the unique challenges and opportunities for tourism in the islands.
Mr. Vinod expressed his congratulations to the new ADTOI team and extended gratitude for their efforts in opening a separate chapter for the Andaman Islands. He also urged the members to include Andaman in their tour itineraries, emphasising the importance of promoting “Brand Andaman” as a premier tourist destination.
In his address, Mr. Vinod highlighted the significance of the new ADTOI chapter for the islands, noting that it would provide a platform for tourism stakeholders in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to collaborate with counterparts from across the country. Additionally, the new chapter would offer a forum for raising and addressing the grievances of local stakeholders at national levels.
This move is expected to further boost tourism in the region, creating new opportunities for growth and development.
