Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO), under the leadership of its president Mr. M. Vinod, successfully participated in the India International Travel Mart (IITM) held at Palace Grounds from July 26th to 28th, 2024. This significant event showcased a diverse array of domestic and international travel destinations, offering a prime platform for promoting tourism in the Andaman Islands.
The AATO pavilion was inaugurated by Mr. K. Lakshminarayanan, the Hon’ble Tourism Minister of Puducherry. With the support of Makruzz, a leading ferry service in the Andamans, more than 20 delegates from AATO were present. Mr. M. Vinod underscored the importance of the exhibition in boosting the visibility of the Andaman Islands among global tourism stakeholders. He emphasized that the event provided a valuable opportunity for the Andaman’s tourism sector to present its unique products and services to the wider travel community.
The IITM in Bengaluru attracted thousands of participants, including representatives from the tourism departments of over 20 states and numerous international stakeholders. AATO’s participation highlighted its ongoing commitment to promoting Andaman tourism on a global scale.
Looking ahead, AATO plans to continue its promotional efforts by participating in other major tourism exhibitions and trade fairs, including SATTE in New Delhi and TTF in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat. These events will further AATO’s mission to showcase the Andaman Islands as a premier travel destination.
