Aberdeen Police Cracks Theft Case Within 24 Hours; Stolen Gold Ornaments Worth ₹11 Lakh Recovered

In a remarkable display of prompt action and professionalism, the staff of Police Station Aberdeen successfully solved a theft case within 24 hours, recovering gold ornaments worth approximately ₹11,00,000 and arresting the accused involved.

The case was registered following a complaint regarding the theft of gold ornaments from a residence at Doctor’s Colony, Nayagaon. Acting swiftly, a dedicated police team comprising SI Mariam (Investigating Officer), Head Constable Sunil Singh Yadav, and Police Constables K. Jairaj, Surender Singh Yadav, P. Mohd. Rafique, and K. Jagdish Babu was formed to trace the accused and recover the stolen property.

Through meticulous investigation and tireless efforts, the team successfully apprehended the accused, Irshad Azad, 31, son of Abdul Azad, a resident of Shadipur and an auto driver by profession. The stolen gold ornaments were fully recovered from his possession. The accused was subsequently produced before the Hon’ble Court and has been remanded to judicial custody.

The operation was conducted under the command of Inspector Vishal Ram, SHO, PS Aberdeen, with the guidance of Mr. Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, SDPO (South Andaman) and under the overall supervision of Mr. Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
