Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) recently appointed Mr. Abhi Bhusan Ghosh as the president of their Youth Wing for Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mr. Abhi Bhusan Ghosh hails from Bambooflat region of South Andaman District and he is known for his Social Work and activism. LJP is a State Political Party which is mainly based in the state of Bihar. The party currently has 6 elected MPs in the lower house of the parliament.
The youth of Andaman and Nicobar Islands are joining politics and many new parties are joining the Islands’ politics. Youth can bring change in the political scenario of the Islands and they play a major role in shaping the policies of the parties.
Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress are the two main political players in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and it would be interesting to see how these new political parties entering the Islands fit into the political equation of the Islands.
