The Association of Buddhist Tour Operators (ABTO), Andaman Chapter, held its first Interaction Meet on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Hotel Grillax, Bhatu Basti, Sri Vijaya Puram. The meeting took place from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm and witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 40 members.
The event was presided over by Mr. M. Vinod, Chapter Head of ABTO Andaman and Lakshadweep. In his address, Mr. Vinod welcomed the members and provided an overview of ABTO’s global initiatives and contributions to the tourism sector, particularly in promoting Buddhist tourism.
The session commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. K. Hamza, Vice President of ABTO. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. Indranil Das, Treasurer, ABTO.
The programme was smoothly anchored by Mr. Mohammed Sajid, while overall coordination and organisation were managed by Mr. Mohammad Rafique, Secretary General of ABTO.
The interaction meet aimed at fostering collaboration and enhancing the role of ABTO in the development of tourism in the Andaman region, aligning with the organisation’s broader vision of promoting spiritual and cultural tourism across Buddhist circuits globally.
