A delegation of Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industries with Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands met Mr. Shantanu Thakur, Hon’ble Minister of State in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
The delegation discussed several issues related to the Ministry with the Hon’ble Minister of State.
The delegation demanded improvement of Port Infrastructure in different Islands of the UT of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. They also demanded the upgradation of Cargo Handling Equipment at Port Blair Port.
They also requested the Minister to notify Mayabunder, Car Nicobar and Campbell Bay as Custom Ports.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegation of ACCI, Mr. Ajoy Bairagi and assured to look into the issues and demands.
