In a heartwarming meeting that underscored the spirit of adventure and environmental consciousness, Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman of the ANTCC Campaign Committee, had a delightful encounter with Mr. Ashraf, an intrepid adventurer from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Mr. Ashraf’s remarkable feat of embarking on a solo bike ride from Indira Point, the southernmost tip of India, to Ladakh, home to the highest motorable pass in the world, has captured the imagination of many. His journey is driven by a noble goal – raising awareness for a cleaner and greener India.
The meeting took place in the heart of New Delhi, where Mr. Ashraf made a brief stopover on his way back to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands after an awe-inspiring journey of epic proportions. During his journey, Mr. Ashraf traversed through three districts of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. From there, he travelled to Kanyakumari, and from the southernmost tip of mainland India, he continued his daring expedition all the way to Ladakh.
Mr. Bhasker, deeply impressed by Mr. Ashraf’s resilience and dedication, expressed his admiration for the adventurer. He offered heartfelt prayers for Mr. Ashraf’s safe return to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands after this arduous and awe-inspiring trip. Mr. Bhasker also extended his best wishes to Mr. Ashraf, acknowledging the new milestone he had added to his already remarkable adventure exploits.
In addition to commending Mr. Ashraf’s journey, Mr. Bhasker took the opportunity to recognise the spirited efforts of the younger generation in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. They are actively contributing to the cause of spreading social awareness on a national scale, particularly in matters of environmental conservation and a “Clean & Green” India.
Mr. Ashraf’s extraordinary solo ride, covering the extreme geographical spectrum of India, serves as a powerful testament to the unyielding human spirit and the importance of raising awareness about environmental issues. His inspiring adventure is expected to resonate with individuals nationwide, fostering a greater commitment to a cleaner and greener India.
