The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) organised a series of party meetings across various Municipal Wards of Sri Vijaya Puram to facilitate interactions between the party cadres and AICC Joint Secretary Dr. Palak Verma, who is on a five-day visit to the Islands.
In Ward No. 14, the meeting was led by Councillor Mr. Y. Joga Rao, while Ward No. 03 was overseen by Councillor Mr. Ramzan Ali and City Congress President Mr. Mohd. Zubair. The meeting at Ward No. 02 was led by Ex-Chairperson of PBMC Mr. Jai Kumar Nair and Congress leader Mr. Eswar Rao.
During the programme, Dr. Verma engaged with the residents of each ward, gathering feedback on Congress governance and the party’s impact in their areas. She emphasised the upcoming municipal and panchayat elections, expressing confidence in the party’s success in these polls.
Dr. Verma also assured the residents of regular visits to the Islands to stay connected and address concerns in the future.
The meetings were attended by senior leaders, including ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker, and former Member of Parliament Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma. They shared their insights on further strengthening the party’s presence in the region.
