The All India Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (AIKMCC) hosted a vibrant Iftar Meet on 23rd March 2025 at the Kerala Samajam Hall in Sri Vijaya Puram, bringing together the diverse community of the Islands in a celebration of charity and compassion.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from people of various religions, languages, and backgrounds, all joining hands to celebrate the spirit of unity and service. Attendees lauded AIKMCC for its commendable work in supporting the residents of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
A short programme was held before Iftar, where religious leaders from Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, and Sikhism shared the stage, spreading messages of charity, unity, and the fundamental values that connect humanity. The leaders praised AIKMCC for its consistent efforts in extending help across religious and social boundaries, both globally and within the Islands.
AIKMCC officials, including Advocate Shihabuddin Yasir, National Secretary of AIKMCC, Mr. Abdul Siddique, President of the Andaman State Committee, and Mr. A.P. Abdul Majeed, General Secretary of the Andaman State Committee, briefed the gathering on the organisation’s ongoing charitable activities.
Mr. Rangalal Halder, President of the Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC), also addressed the gathering and applauded AIKMCC’s remarkable contributions to the Islands. As a gesture of support, Mr. Halder handed over an ambulance to AIKMCC for the benefit of the local community.
During the event, AIKMCC felicitated several organisations and individuals who have been consistently contributing to their charitable initiatives. Additionally, independent philanthropists and organisations involved in charity work across the Islands were also recognised for their service.
The evening culminated with attendees coming together to share the Iftar meal, symbolising the harmonious coexistence of diverse cultures, faiths, and communities. The event echoed the timeless message of “unity in diversity,” leaving a lasting impression of solidarity and goodwill among the islanders.
