AIKMCC Launches Patient Transport Ambulance Service in Sri Vijaya Puram

In a significant step towards strengthening the healthcare support system in the islands, the All India Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (AIKMCC) Andaman State Committee launched a Patient Transport Ambulance Service on 16th April 2025. The service was formally inaugurated by prominent leader and humanitarian Sayyid Hameed Ali Shihab Thangal at a function held in front of the National Memorial Cellular Jail in Sri Vijaya Puram.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed the participation of distinguished religious figures, including Swami Shuddhananda from Chinmaya Mission, political leaders, and members of civil society, who came together in support of the noble initiative.

Speaking at the event, Sayyid Hameed Ali Shihab Thangal highlighted the critical role of community-driven efforts in enhancing healthcare facilities, especially in geographically isolated regions like the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He praised AIKMCC’s dedication to social welfare and expressed optimism that the ambulance service would bring timely medical aid to those in need.

The AIKMCC Andaman State Committee reaffirmed its commitment to societal betterment, announcing that the ambulance service would be accessible to all sections of the community, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion.

The launch of the Patient Transport Ambulance Service reflects AIKMCC’s enduring spirit of service, unity, and compassion, aiming to bridge healthcare gaps and support patients across the islands.
