AirAsia Announces Launch of International Flight Service Between Port Blair and Kuala Lumpur

In a significant milestone for air connectivity in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, AirAsia has announced the launch of international flight service connecting Port Blair to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This makes AirAsia the first airline to offer international flights to and from Port Blair, marking a new era of global accessibility for residents and tourists alike.

Starting from 16 November 2024, AirAsia will operate thrice-weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Port Blair. The service will be available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flight from Kuala Lumpur is scheduled to depart at 10:40 AM (GMT+8) and will arrive in Port Blair at 10:20 AM (GMT+5:30), offering a convenient and timely connection for travellers. The return flight will depart from Port Blair at 10:55 AM (GMT+5:30) and land in Kuala Lumpur at 4:15 PM (GMT+8), allowing for a seamless travel experience.

To celebrate the launch of this new route, AirAsia is offering promotional fares starting at just ₹4,999 for one-way travel from Port Blair to Kuala Lumpur. This special offer is available for travel between 16 November 2024 and 8 October 2025. Travellers eager to take advantage of these low fares can book their tickets until 25 August 2024 through the AirAsia Move App or by visiting airasia.com.

Additionally, Indian citizens can enjoy visa-free entry to Malaysia for tourist visits of up to 30 days, a policy that remains in effect until 30 June 2025. This initiative is expected to boost tourism and foster closer ties between the two regions.
