Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands recently called on the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Mr. Bairagi raised several important issues of the Islands with the Lt. Governor.
Mr. Bairagi in his representation submitted to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor thanked him for taking the initiative to fill up thousands of posts lying vacant in the Andaman and Nicobar Administration. He also thanked the Lt. Governor for the steps taken for solving the long pending issue of regularisation of DRMs of Port Blair Municipal Council and allowing 1/30th pay to DRMs of various departments.
Mr. Bairagi also thanked the Lt. Governor for the recent order for the enhancement of salaries of Part-Time employees of the Education Department and the hike in salary of contract lecturers working in various colleges.
Mr. Bairagi raised the issue of the exorbitant increase in Stamp Duty Charges and Circle Rates in the Islands. He also raised the issue of irregular power and water supply.
Mr. Bairagi also requested the Lt. Governor to allow the conversion and diversion of land for various purposes.
