Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, raised the issue of the National Highway with the Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, immediately after returning from his visit to North and Middle Andaman District.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi reportedly expressed his concern and anguish on the slow progress of the National Highway Work.
According to a Press Release from BJP, Chief Secretary, in response to Mr. Bairagi’s inputs, convened a meeting on 10th April 2023. The meeting was held in the conference hall of the Secretariat, and all concerned officers, contractors, Deputy Commissioner (N & M Andaman), and Deputy Commissioner (South Andaman) attended the meeting along with Mr. Ajoy Bairagi.
The Chief Secretary reportedly gave specific directions to the concerned authorities of NH and Deputy Commissioners to complete the work and make NH motorable before the onset of the monsoon.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi has thanked the Chief Secretary for directing the concerned officials to make NH motorable before the onset of the monsoon.
