Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has thanked the Andaman and Nicobar Administration for considering additional vaccination centres in the Islands. Andaman and Nicobar Administration had earlier listed out the names of the vaccination centres throughout the Islands and had started vaccinating the eligible population. Soon it was realised that more vaccination centres are required at different regions and the local population started demanding it.
The Directorate of Health Service based on the demands started notifying and opening new vaccination centres, which will bring great relief to the general public.
Shri. Ajoy Bairagi further expresses gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman and Director, Directorate of Health Services for additional vaccination centres in the rural areas which will help the residents from the remote regions of the district to get vaccinated.
Shri. Ajoy Bairagi also expressed his gratitude to Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman for opening up of more and more vaccination centres as per demands from the general public in rural and urban areas.
Starting 11th of April 2021 on the call of our dynamic Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Andaman and Nicobar Administration is also celebrating ‘Tika Utsav’. The aim is to vaccinate maximum number of citizens who fall under the eligible category. ‘Tika Utsav’ will be celebrated from the Birth Anniversary of Jyotiba Phule (11 April) to the Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R Ambedkar (14 Apr).
Shri. Ajoy Bairagi has requested the citizens to participate in ‘Tika Utsav’ in large numbers and to get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19.
Shri. Ajoy Bairagi further thanked each and every Health Care Worker and Front Line Worker, working in the Islands to keep the citizens safe from the clutches of COVID-19 pandemic.
