Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party recently met Mr. Keshav Chandra, Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration and took up some crucial issues of the Islands with him.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi requested the Chief Secretary to release the pending salaries of the Anganwadi Workers and also requested him to ensure that Nutritious Food and Ration Articles are provided to the children on time.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi also informed the Chief Secretary regarding the problems being faced by the 18 families of Telugu Basthi Nayagaon (Near Doctors Colony), whose houses were destroyed due to an under-constriction defence project being executed inside the Airport Complex. He requested the Chief Secretary to provide immediate relief to the 18 affected families.
Pradhan, GP Rangat also accompanied Mr. Ajoy Bairagi during the meeting with the Chief Secretary. Issues like the non-availability of Quarry Products at Rangat, permission for earth cutting, diversion of land for developmental projects and other important issues of the Rangat region were also taken up.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi submitted two representations to the Chief Secretary for early redressal of the problems being faced by the Islanders.
