The highly anticipated Grand Mahakumbh Mela is set to take place in Teerthraj Prayagraj from January 13, 2025, beginning with Paush Purnima, and concluding on Mahashivratri, February 26, 2025. Revered for its spiritual and cultural significance, the Kumbh Mela, also known as ‘Sarvasiddhipradaha Kumbh’ — the bestower of all siddhis — is a major event in Indian tradition. In recognition of its cultural importance, UNESCO has designated Kumbh Mela as an ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.’

The A&N Administration is in process of setting up the Union Territory’s pavilion at the Mahakumbh Mela, with plans to showcase the region’s vibrant cultural heritage. To enhance participation, the administration has called for registered local cultural groups to submit their willingness to present cultural programs during the event.

Interested groups are requested to submit their applications in writing to the Director (Art & Culture), Cellular Jail Complex, Atlanta Point, Sri Vijaya Puram. The last date for submission is 5:00 PM on January 9, 2025. This is a unique opportunity for local cultural performers to contribute to one of the largest spiritual gatherings in the world.
