The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, has invited nominations from Government Departments and Union Territory-level Sports Associations recognized by the Andaman and Nicobar State Sports Council (ANSSC) for the recognition of outstanding sportspersons. These awards aim to honor athletes who have achieved excellence by securing medals or positions at recognized National and International competitions held between April 2024 and March 2025.
To facilitate the nomination process, the concerned departments and associations have been requested to submit the list of eligible sportspersons in a prescribed proforma, which can be collected from the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs during official working hours. The filled-in proforma, accompanied by duly attested copies of certificates issued by the respective National-level organizations, associations, or federations, must be submitted at the Directorate’s office located at Netaji Stadium no later than August 20, 2025.
To reward sporting excellence, the Administration has announced a structured cash prize scheme based on the level of the competition and the position secured by the sportspersons.
