In an exciting initiative, the Andaman and Nicobar Administration is gearing up to set multiple underwater Guinness World Records at Radha Nagar Beach, Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island). The event, scheduled for mid-November 2024, will feature several attempts, including the largest flag unfurled underwater, the tallest human stack underwater, and the longest human chain underwater.
Certified scuba divers from across the country are invited to participate in the record attempt for the “Longest Human Chain Underwater,” which will take place from November 11 to November 17, 2024, at the popular Radha Nagar Beach No. 7. The event promises to be a unique showcase of both skill and coordination, attracting diving enthusiasts to contribute to this remarkable feat.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria:
The event is open exclusively to Indian nationals who meet the following requirements:
– Minimum certification: Open Water Diver certification from any WRSTC (World Recreational Scuba Training Council) recognised agency.
– Diving experience: Participants must have logged at least 10 dives.
– Medical clearance: All participants are required to submit a WRSTC Medical Form with a doctor’s approval certifying fitness to dive. The form and accompanying Physician’s Guide will be provided upon registration.

However, the Andaman Administration will provide essential diving gear for participants who do not have their own, except for prescription diving masks. Divers needing prescription masks are required to bring their own.
Selection Process and Age Restrictions:
A panel of dive professionals, along with the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, will review all applications and select the final participants. Divers aged 50 and above must submit an additional Medical Fitness Certificate.
Successful candidates will be notified via email, outlining further procedures for participation.
