Andaman and Nicobar Administration is set to take part in the 43rd edition of the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2024, scheduled from November 14 to November 27, 2024, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The event, which this year is themed ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047,’ presents a significant opportunity for the islands to showcase their unique craftsmanship.
The Andaman & Nicobar Pavilion will serve as a platform for displaying the region’s exquisite handicrafts, offering a glimpse into the rich art and artifacts created by local artisans. In a bid to maximize the value of these products, the Administration has decided to feature only selected Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from the islands, giving them a chance to both exhibit and sell their creations during the fair.
Local MSMEs and handicraft units with Udyam Registration are encouraged to apply for participation. Interested businesses must submit their applications along with a copy of their Udyam Registration certificate, a detailed list of products and services, and the quantity and pricing of exhibits they plan to display and sell at the Andaman & Nicobar Pavilion. Additionally, applicants must include their contact details and the name of a representative.
The deadline for submitting applications to the Directorate of Industries is October 16, 2024. This initiative provides a golden opportunity for the islands’ businesses to expand their market reach and highlight the distinctiveness of Andaman and Nicobar’s local products on a national stage.
For further details, businesses can contact the Directorate of Industries.
