The stage is set for an electrifying final as A&N Command will take on Sri Vijaya Puram in the championship match of the XXVI Vice President of India Cup Soccer Championship 2024-25. The clash will take place at BJR Stadium, Tamaloo, Car Nicobar, on February 17 at 2 PM.
A&N Command secured their place in the final after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Nancowrie in the first semi final played today. The match, marked by intense gameplay and strategic moves, saw the presence of Mr. Solomon Samuel, DANIPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District, as the chief guest.
In the second semifinal, Sri Vijaya Puram dominated Chowra with a commanding 3-0 win, showcasing their strength and attacking prowess. Mr. Muneer Ahmed, DANICS, Assistant Commissioner (HQ), Car Nicobar, graced the occasion as the chief guest for this match.
Before the grand finale, the match for the second runners-up position will be contested between Chowra and Nancowrie on February 17 at 6 AM.
