The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan was nationally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 17th September 2025 at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. The launch was webcast live at the Conference Hall of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT), Sri Vijaya Puram.
In the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the campaign, along with the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah, was formally launched the same day. The event was attended by Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, and other senior officers of the A&N Administration.
As part of the initiative, a series of health activities have been rolled out across the Islands, including screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Sickle Cell Disease, Anemia, and Tuberculosis, with special emphasis on tribal communities. The Social Welfare Department also organized a Food Basket Display and showcased healthy recipes to encourage nutritious dietary practices.
The campaign will be conducted at all health facilities in the UT and will continue till 2nd October 2025. Dedicated to improving women’s health and empowerment, the programme reflects the Administration’s commitment to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar. The public has been urged to make full use of the health facilities being offered under this initiative.
