In a bid to raise awareness about HIV and AIDS, the Andaman and Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) will organise a 5-kilometre marathon, titled ‘RED RUN’, on August 26, 2025.
The marathon is open to all individuals aged 15 years and above and will be held in three categories: Male, Female, and Transgender. The run will begin at Andaman Club, proceed to New Lighthouse Restaurant, continue via Rajiv Gandhi Road to Dignabad Jetty, and return along the same route to conclude at Andaman Club.
To encourage enthusiastic participation, ANACS has announced attractive cash prizes. Winners in each category will receive ₹10,000 for first place, ₹8,000 for second place, and ₹5,000 for third place.
Online registrations are currently open and will continue until August 20, 2025. Interested participants can register by visiting https://shorturl.at/l91cr or by scanning the event QR code. For those unable to register online, on-the-spot registration will be available at the venue on the day of the event.
All participants are required to report at Netaji Stadium by 6:00 AM on August 26.
