Andaman and Nicobar Administration has announced a revision in the minimum wages across six employment schedules, including government departments, offices, and industrial establishments. This update, effective from July 1, 2024, is in accordance with the provisions of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
The revised minimum wage rates are as follows:
– Unskilled: Rs. 633 per day
– Semi-Skilled/Unskilled Supervisory: Rs. 714 per day
– Skilled/Clerical: Rs. 837 per day
– Highly Skilled: Rs. 920 per day
Employers can download a copy of the order detailing the revised rates from the official website: http://www.labour.and.nic.in. All employers are required to comply with these new wage rates. Failure to do so will result in legal action as stipulated under Section 22 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.
Minimum wage rate is not so compatible in present costly situation because in present time minimum costing for livelihood for every family minimum costing 1200 rs per day for live a family .
Costing pulse vegitable milk rise and wheat
So I think minimum wage rate should be 1200 rs per day so that a common family live a life
