Andaman and Nicobar Jeep Driver Welfare Union Hosts Awareness Meet on Drug Abuse

The Andaman and Nicobar Jeep Driver Welfare Union (ANJDWU) conducted an awareness meeting at the Community Hall in Ograbraj on Sunday, focusing on the pressing issue of drug abuse and preparations for the upcoming Independence Day celebration.

Mr. N.S. Stalin, Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Ograbraj, graced the event as Chief Guest and addressed a gathering of jeep drivers and union members. In his keynote speech, he highlighted the alarming consequences of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society at large. Emphasizing the role of drivers as responsible citizens, he also spoke about the critical importance of adhering to traffic safety norms to ensure a secure and orderly road environment.

The meeting also served as a platform for discussing collaborative efforts for the smooth conduct of Independence Day celebrations on August 15. Participants exchanged ideas on how the Union can contribute positively to the observance of the national event.

Mr. C. Mohd Arif, President of ANJDWU, extended sincere thanks to SHO Mr. N.S. Stalin for his informative and motivating address. He also commended the SHO for his consistent efforts in maintaining law and order and his active involvement in community-oriented initiatives.
