In a show of solidarity amid escalating border tensions and widespread travel disruptions, the Hoteliers Association of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has announced guest-friendly relief measures for affected travellers. The decision follows the cancellation of leave for Central Government employees, CAPF personnel, and other officials, along with restrictions on airspace and the suspension of flights from several key airports including Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Amritsar, Chandigarh etc.
Recognising the impact on travel plans, member hotels of the Association have unanimously agreed to provide full refunds or allow free rescheduling for guests whose journeys have been interrupted.
“We understand the difficulties travellers are facing due to these unforeseen circumstances. Our priority is to ensure guests feel supported and valued during this time,” said the Association’s President in a press release. “Hospitality is not just about service—it’s about standing by people when they need it most.”
The move underscores the hotel community’s commitment to compassion, flexibility, and national solidarity during times of crisis. The Association has also urged all hospitality providers across the Islands to adopt similar measures and extend assistance to affected travellers.
