In a move aimed at strengthening collective representation and welfare of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) employees, working MTS personnel of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration have come together to form a new association under the banner of the Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh (ANRKM).
The association, named Andaman Nicobar MTS Karmachari Sangh, was formally constituted during a meeting held at the State office of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS). The meeting was chaired by BMS State Vice President Mr. A. Vijay Nair and focused on discussing key problems and challenges faced by MTS employees across departments.
Following detailed deliberations, a committee for the newly formed association was constituted. ANRKM nominated Mr. V. Veeranna, former State President of BMS, as President of the Sangh, while Ms. Sridevi was appointed Secretary and Mr. Ganesh Kartick as Finance Secretary.
The meeting was attended by Mr. S. Biju Pillai, General Secretary, ANRKM, Mr. Prasad from ALHW Karmachari Sangh, and other representatives. Extending his best wishes, ANRKM President Mr. Jaydeep Kumar Dey urged the newly elected office-bearers to work sincerely towards addressing the issues of MTS employees and ensuring their welfare across all departments.
It was informed that a membership drive will be undertaken covering all departments of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration. Interested MTS employees can join the association by sending an “I JOIN” message via WhatsApp to 8900917858.
Mr. Mohit expressed gratitude to ANRKM for its support in organising the meeting and facilitating the formation of the committee, reaffirming the Sangh’s commitment to working in line with the BMS principle of “Nation First” and for the betterment of the working class.
