The culmination of a rigorous two-week Tactical Driving Course for the Andaman & Nicobar Police marked a significant milestone in enhancing the tactical driving skills of law enforcement personnel in the region. Led by Mr. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the valedictory session, held at the Conference Hall of the Police Headquarters on May 17th, 2024, celebrated the successful completion of the program.
Under the expert guidance of the Close Protection Force (CPF), National Security Guard (NSG) from Manesar, Gurgaon, Haryana, the course aimed to equip drivers from the Andaman & Nicobar Police with advanced driving techniques essential for ensuring the safety and security of high-profile individuals and during critical missions.
Expressing his gratitude, Mr. Srivastva commended the Director General of NSG for their invaluable cooperation and support in conducting the course. He lauded the efforts of the NSG Trainers and recognised the achievements of the Driver Trainees by awarding them Commendation Certificates for their exemplary performance.
The training program, meticulously designed to meet international standards, encompassed a wide array of modules including evasive driving, high-speed manoeuvring, vehicle control in challenging conditions, and effective response to emergency situations. These sessions, held in Port Blair, served as a platform for honing the skills of police personnel to navigate complex scenarios with precision and efficiency.
Highlighting the significance of collaborative training initiatives, Mr. Srivastva emphasised that such endeavours not only enhance individual capabilities but also bolster the overall operational efficiency of the force. He reiterated the commitment of the Andaman & Nicobar Police to maintain the highest standards of public safety and security, underscoring their unwavering dedication to excellence in all aspects of their duties.
The successful conclusion of the Tactical Driving Course stands as a testament to the proactive efforts undertaken by the Andaman & Nicobar Police in enhancing their capabilities and readiness to tackle evolving security challenges in the region.
