The initiative forms part of the Police Department’s community outreach programmes aimed at strengthening bonds between the police and the public through sports and positive social interaction.
A total of 16 teams are participating in the tournament, which is being conducted in a knockout format. The winners and runners-up will be awarded prizes and medals. Participation has been kept open to all with no entry fee, encouraging wider involvement from the community, particularly youth.
The opening day witnessed enthusiastic participation and lively matches, with players and spectators alike displaying a strong spirit of sportsmanship and fair play. The event generated considerable excitement along the beachfront, reflecting the growing interest in recreational sports among residents.
