Andaman & Nicobar Pradesh Youth Congress Hosts Exciting One-Day Volleyball Knockout Tournament at Dairy Farm

Andaman & Nicobar Pradesh Youth Congress, in a bid to promote sports and foster unity among the youth, successfully organised a thrilling One-Day Volleyball Knockout Tournament on October 15, 2023, at the Young Brothers Club Ground, Dairy Farm. The event was sponsored by TSG Hotels & Resorts and saw the active participation of 13 competitive teams.

The tournament, overseen by the Youth Congress State President, Ms. Diksha Dular, and Youth Congress State Vice-President, Mr. Abhibhushan Ghosh, proved to be a spectacular sporting extravaganza. The final match was a nail-biting showdown, captivating the spectators with remarkable performances from both teams.

The grand finale was graced by prominent personalities, including the ANTCC President, Mr. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman, Mr. TSG Bhasker, ANTCC Spokesperson, Mr. A. Tamilselvan, Senior Congress Leader, Mr. Saji Varghese, Block Congress President, Mr. Shakti Velu, Councillor Ward no. 15, Mr. Padmanabhan, Councillor Ward no. 14, Mr. Y. Joga Rao, Ex-State Secretary Youth Congress, Mr. Sadab Riaz (Sunny), and Programme Coordinator TSG Foundation, Mr. Ameer Bux.

In a heart-pounding final showdown, Team Seva Bharat emerged as the champions of the tournament, defeating their worthy opponents from Team Garacharma.

The primary objective of the tournament was to encourage and engage the youth in sports activities, fostering camaraderie and physical and emotional well-being among them.

Mr. Rangalal Halder and Mr. TSG Bhasker commended the efforts of the Pradesh Youth Congress in organizing such a spirited volleyball event. They also had the honour of presenting trophies and cash prizes to the victorious and runner-up teams, capping off a day filled with athletic enthusiasm and community spirit.
