The ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha–2026 (PPC) was screened live on February 6, 2026, at the auditorium of TGCE, Sri Vijaya Puram, under the initiative of the Education Department, A&N Administration. Students from various schools across the town attended the programme and drew inspiration from the motivational address of the Hon’ble Prime Minister ahead of their forthcoming board examinations.

This year’s edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha marked a historic milestone, as it featured the first-ever multi-location nationwide engagement, enabling students across the country to participate simultaneously and benefit from the interactive session.

Around 270 students of Classes X and XII from different schools of South Andaman, along with 33 teachers, attended the live screening at TGCE. The participants, most of whom are preparing to appear for their board examinations, expressed enthusiasm and motivation after listening to the Prime Minister’s guidance on managing exam stress and maintaining a positive approach towards learning.

A special highlight of the programme was the participation of Ms. Nissy Philip, a student of PM SHRI GSSS, Swadeshnagar, who was selected from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to attend the event in New Delhi. She had the rare opportunity to interact directly with the Hon’ble Prime Minister, making the occasion memorable for the Islands.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gyan Sheel Dubey, Deputy Education Officer (DEO), South Andaman, remarked that Pariksha Pe Charcha would serve as a strong source of motivation for students and encourage them to perform better in their upcoming examinations.

Interacting with the students, Ms. Sangeeta Chand, Principal, SIE and Nodal Officer for Pariksha Pe Charcha, said it was a privilege to witness the enthusiastic participation of students, teachers and parents. She informed that a total of 43,770 students, 4,938 teachers and 3,736 parents from the A&N Islands registered and actively engaged through the PPC portal, reflecting a remarkable response. She further noted that the overall participation percentage from the Islands stood at an impressive 100 per cent.

Meanwhile, the Education Department also made elaborate arrangements for the live screening of the programme in all schools across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, ensuring maximum outreach and participation.
