Andaman Tourism Stakeholders Participate in 40th Annual IATO Convention at Puri

Leading stakeholders from the Andaman tourism sector took part in the 40th Annual Convention of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), held at Puri, Odisha, from 22nd to 25th August 2025.

Representing the Islands were Mr. Mohd. Jadwet, Chapter Chairman, IATO Andaman Chapter & Director, Mak Logistics Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Mohan Vinod, President, AATO & Director, Modern Tours and Travels; Mr. Saikat Biswas, Joint Secretary, AATO & Director, Discover Andaman; and Mr. T. Moidu, Director, Swaraj Tours and Travels.

The convention was inaugurated by Hon’ble Union Tourism Minister Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha. Over the three days, the event brought together tour operators, travel industry leaders, and policymakers from across the country to deliberate on opportunities, challenges, and strategies for the sustainable growth of India’s tourism sector.

The active participation of Andaman’s representatives underscored the Islands’ growing prominence in the national tourism landscape and their commitment to shaping India’s vibrant tourism future.
