The Milk Division of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Integrated Development Corporation Limited (ANIIDCO) has taken another step towards enhancing nutritional security in the Islands with the inauguration of a new milk parlour near Shadipur Junction, Sri Vijaya Puram. The outlet, which aims to make dairy products more accessible to residents, was officially inaugurated by Ms. Nandini Maharaj, IAS, Executive Director (Milk Plant).
This new initiative reflects ANIIDCO’s ongoing commitment to providing affordable, high-quality milk and milk products to the public. Traditionally, these products were available through accredited retail shops and agents. However, the new milk parlour is an outlet for the direct sale of dairy items in the region, bringing greater convenience to the residents of Shadipur and surrounding areas.
The Senior Manager of the Milk Plant highlighted that there has long been demand from Islanders for an outlet dedicated to the sale of ANIIDCO’s milk and dairy products.
Currently, the parlour offers a range of dairy products, including cow milk, toned and double toned milk, paneer, yogurt cups, sweet lassi, butter milk, and curd. By making these items more easily accessible, ANIIDCO aims to contribute to the overall health and well-being of the local population.
The new milk parlour is part of ANIIDCO’s broader efforts to ensure that quality dairy products remain affordable for Islanders. The initiative also aligns with the Corporation’s goal of promoting nutritional security across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands by providing residents with reliable access to essential dairy items.
With this latest addition, ANIIDCO continues to fulfill its mission of improving the quality of life for Islanders through a combination of taste, health, and convenience in its dairy offerings.
