The Milk Division of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Integrated Development Corporation Limited (ANIIDCO) has rolled out the Union Territory’s first-ever Mobile Milk Parlour, a step aimed at ensuring wider access to quality dairy products across the Islands.
The initiative was inaugurated on August 28, 2025, by Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration and Chairman of ANIIDCO, in the presence of Ms. Chanchal Yadav, IAS, Managing Director, Ms. Pallavi Sarkar, IAS, Executive Director (Milk Plant), Mr. Abhishek Gulia, General Manager (Milk Plant), Mr. Rajendra Kumar, Senior Manager (Milk Plant), alongside staff of ANIIDCO and officials of the Administration.
ANIIDCO stated that the Mobile Milk Parlour reflects its commitment to promoting nutritional security and providing affordable dairy products to island residents. The facility will make milk and milk-based products more accessible to the public.
Currently, the Mobile Milk Parlour is offering Cow Milk, Toned Milk, Double Toned Milk, Sweet Lassi, Flavoured Yogurt, Flavoured Milk, Paneer, Curd, and Buttermilk. In the next phase, the Milk Division plans to introduce Softy Ice Cream and Milk Carts.
With this initiative, ANIIDCO aims not only to provide convenience, taste, and health benefits to consumers but also to strengthen the market for locally produced dairy products.
