The Andaman and Nicobar Islands Institute of Medical Sciences (ANIIMS) has invited applications for the third round of MD/MS counselling for admission to postgraduate medical courses for the academic year 2025–26. The counselling for leftover State Quota vacant seats will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
As per the notification, a total of four MD/MS seats under the State Quota are available in the following disciplines:
- Anatomy – 1 seat
- Biochemistry – 1 seat
- Microbiology – 1 seat
- Ophthalmology – 1 seat
No vacant seats are available in General Surgery and Anaesthesiology for this round.
Eligible and interested candidates are required to apply for the vacant seats by following the counselling schedule, eligibility criteria, and application procedure available on the official ANIIMS website. Applications must be submitted through the prescribed online Google form. Candidates have been advised to regularly visit the official website of ANIIMS for updates and detailed information regarding the counselling process.
According to the instructions, candidates must report at 9.00 am on January 11, 2026, at the Administrative Block, ANIIMS New Campus, Corbyn’s Cove, for counselling. Candidates must attend the counselling in person and bring all original certificates/documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies.
Seat allotment and document verification will be carried out only for candidates who are physically present at the venue. Candidates will be called strictly in order of merit, and seats will be offered based on availability at that point of time during counselling.
