Andaman Nicobar Janta Party (ANJP) sets its sights on the upcoming parliamentary elections, with Zilla Parishad Member, Mr. V K Abdul Aziz, likely to file his nomination on March 27, 2024, as declared in a pivotal meeting held in Brindaban Panchayat, South Andaman on Sunday.

Being the first to announce its candidate for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Parliamentary Constituency, ANJP affirmed its commitment to the electoral race well ahead of the official announcement.

In the gathering, key leaders of ANJP addressed the party’s grassroots members, emphasizing the need for robust campaigning and collective efforts to secure victory in the upcoming elections.

The party’s aspirations to secure the parliamentary seat have been underscored by its determination to challenge the dominance of national parties, which have historically held sway over the region.

Acknowledging the concerns raised by party workers, ANJP leaders urged them to dedicate themselves fully to the cause, reflecting the party’s growing influence, particularly among the youth, due to its advocacy on various issues, notably those pertaining to government employment.

With ANJP’s strategic moves and mobilisation efforts underway, anticipation mounts as the party aims to carve a significant political presence in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

BJP Candidate, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray has not confirmed the date on which he will file nomination. Congress has still not announced its candidate for ANIPC. Other parties have also not announced the date of filing of nominations by their respective candidates.
