The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC), in collaboration with the Unorganised Workers and Employees Congress (UWEC), A&N Islands, organised a ‘Vote Chori’ Signature Campaign near the ITF Ground parking area, calling for collective action against vote manipulation.
The initiative was led by Mr. Tejeswara Rao, Chairman, UWEC, A&N Islands, under the overall guidance of Mr. Rangalal Halder, President, ANTCC, and Mr. T.S.G. Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee, ANTCC.
The campaign saw enthusiastic participation from local cab and taxi drivers, who signed the pledge affirming their commitment to protect the integrity of the democratic process.
Among those present were Mr. John Robert, District President (South Andaman), along with several office bearers of UWEC, leaders of various frontal organisations, and Congress members, all expressing solidarity with the cause.
The organisers said the campaign aims to raise awareness among voters about safeguarding their right to vote and ensuring fair electoral practices across the Islands.
