Continuing its nationwide outreach campaign, the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) on June 10 organized the ‘Samvidhan Bachao Abhiyan’ along with a ‘Jai Hind Sabha’ at Municipal Ward No. 23, Prothrapur.
The programme witnessed participation from local residents, youth, and Congress supporters, all united in reaffirming their commitment to the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. The event also served as a tribute to the Indian Armed Forces, recognising their pivotal role in upholding national sovereignty and safeguarding the constitutional framework of the country.
Prominent Congress leaders attended the programme, including ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, Mahila Congress State President Ms. Zubaida Begum, Youth Congress State President Ms. Diksha Dular, Up-Pramukh of Ferrargunj Panchayat Mr. Simson, and senior leader Mr. Sanjay Meshack. Addressing the gathering, they stressed the importance of protecting democratic rights and preserving the vision of India’s founding fathers.
The event was spearheaded by Mr. Sanjay Meshack, former Councillor of Ward No. 23, whose leadership and efforts were instrumental in ensuring robust community engagement and the smooth execution of the programme.
Other key participants included Senior Leader Mr. James (Ward No. 23), Block Congress President Ms. Seena Meshack, Mahila Congress Leader Ms. Fathima Imtiyaz, Minority Department State Chairman Mr. Saji Varghese, along with party leaders Mr. Abdul Shabir, Mr. T. Jaipal, Dr. Raghubalan, and several grassroots workers and supporters.
