In a gesture of compassion and community outreach, the Minority Department of the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) organized a ration kit distribution drive for underprivileged families on 19th June 2025, commemorating the birthday of the Leader of Opposition, Mr. Rahul Gandhi.
The initiative, led by Mr. Saji Varghese, Chairman of the ANTCC Minority Department, was held at the Islamic Guidance Centre in Goalghar. Several families in need received essential ration supplies during the event, which aimed to reflect the values of inclusivity and social support.
The programme was attended by senior party leaders, including Mr. Rangalal Halder, President of ANTCC, and Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman of the Campaign Committee, among others, who expressed solidarity with the cause and appreciation for the effort.
Mr. Saji Varghese expressed his gratitude to Mr. Imran Pratapgarhi, National Chairman of the Congress Minority Department, and Mr. Jani Javid, Incharge of the Minority Department for A&N Islands, for their support in making the programme a success.
Reiterating their commitment to community service, the ANTCC Minority Department emphasized its ongoing efforts to uplift minority communities and promote harmony, equity, and social justice across the islands.
