ANTCC Observes 129th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose

The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) on Friday solemnly observed the 129th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Gandhi Bhavan, the Congress Office in Sri Vijaya Puram, paying rich tributes to the legendary freedom fighter.

The programme began with the garlanding of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s portrait by ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and Chairman of the Campaign Committee, Mr. G. Bhasker. This was followed by floral tributes offered by senior party leaders, Mahila Congress leaders and Congress workers.

Addressing the gathering, party leaders recalled the immense contribution of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose to India’s freedom struggle and highlighted his unparalleled courage, sacrifice and visionary leadership in the fight for an independent and united India. They emphasised that Netaji’s ideals of nationalism, discipline and selfless service continue to inspire generations and serve as guiding principles for the nation.

The observance was attended by ANTCC chief spokespersons, the Mahila Congress President and committee members, Youth Congress President, Chairman of the Minority Department, Chairman and committee members of the Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan (ANTCC), Fisherman Congress Chairman, councillors of the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council (SVPMC), Seva Dal Joint Secretary and a large number of Congress workers.

Participants reaffirmed their commitment to uphold and propagate the values and principles championed by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, underscoring his enduring relevance in contemporary times.
