ANTCC Observes 78th Martyrs’ Day of Mahatma Gandhi at Congress Office

The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) observed the 78th Martyrs’ Day of Mahatma Gandhi at the Congress Office here on Friday, paying rich tributes to the Father of the Nation.

ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, along with PCC Chhattisgarh State Secretary Mr. Vimal Sahu and Zilla Panchayat Sadasya, Baloda Bazar, Chhattisgarh, Ms. Anjali Sahu, garlanded the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi on the solemn occasion. This was followed by floral tributes offered by party leaders and a two-minute silence observed in memory of Gandhiji.

Speakers on the occasion recalled Mahatma Gandhi’s supreme sacrifice and highlighted his unwavering commitment to truth and non-violence. They emphasized the enduring relevance of Gandhian principles of peace, unity, and social harmony in contemporary times.

Addressing the gathering, the leaders called upon the people, particularly the youth, to follow the path shown by Mahatma Gandhi for building a just, inclusive, and democratic society.

The programme witnessed the participation of senior ANTCC leaders, District and Block Congress Committee members, the ANTCC Chief Spokesperson, Mahila Congress leaders, City Congress leaders, Rajiv Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sangathan leaders, Unorganised Workers and Employees Congress leaders, OBC Department leaders, Municipal Councillors, and party workers, who reaffirmed their resolve to uphold Gandhiji’s ideals in public life.
