ANTCC Pays Heartfelt Tributes to Former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh

The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) paid heartfelt tributes to Dr. Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India and a celebrated architect of modern India, who passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the age of 92.

The homage ceremony was led by Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman of the Campaign Committee – ANTCC, who guided party members in offering floral tributes to the departed leader. A solemn two-minute silence was observed in his memory. Leaders from other political parties, including the State leadership of the DMK, CPI (M), and TDP, were also present to pay their respects to Dr. Singh.

In a gesture of reverence, the ANTCC announced the cancellation of all its scheduled programs for the next seven days.

Dr. Manmohan Singh’s life was a remarkable journey—from his modest beginnings to becoming an eminent economist, the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, the Finance Minister, the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, and ultimately, the Prime Minister. His visionary leadership, profound insights, humility, and unwavering adherence to personal values have left an indelible mark on the nation.

He will forever be remembered as a beacon of wisdom and a symbol of integrity, inspiring generations to come.
